Data & Analytics Executive

Apply

We’re looking for a keen, tech-savvy individual to join our industry-leading Data & Analytics team in an entry level position. This is a role that will allow you to progress your technical knowledge hugely, taking a previous introductory role or hobbyist’s interest to a new level. You’ll not only grow your own knowledge, but also watch as your work transforms our team’s and clients’ understanding of data to inform useful and beneficial business decisions. Our team is small but immensely collaborative, giving you an opportunity to not only learn from but add to and influence our knowledge base and working practices.

As our new Data & Insight Executive, you will initially be supporting the Data & Analytics team with their day-to-day projects. This will involve the implementation of various tracking systems, ensuring the interoperability of those platforms and assisting with turning that raw data into meaningful outputs for our clients. The role is technical but will be completely supported with detailed training for all work, looking to transform an applicant’s introductory knowledge into a strong technical skillset to eventually lead and own project work themselves.

What you’ll do:

Detailed and continual training will be an intrinsic aspect of the role as you get started, but a desire to learn and understand will be very important as no two projects are alike.

The role will initially involve supporting the Data & Analytics team with the following, but you will aim towards owning these projects yourself:

  • Handling ad-hoc queries from internal teams or clients around the technical configurations of data collection systems, being able to research and provide a reliable solution to those queries
  • Providing clearly documented actions to a client’s development team, testing and validating their solutions,
  • Resolving technical implementation issues directly – typically in a given tag management platform or in a clients CRM, and often with creating JavaScript coded solutions
  • Supporting internal teams and clients with their data analysis (both marketing and first party owned sources) to assist with reporting, detecting underlying issues with a given dataset, and offering suggestions for improvements
  • Creating meaningful visualisations for reporting systems, which could be in platform bespoke report building such as Google Analytics, or using our data warehouse for more complex, automated, multi-source outputs
  • Spotting opportunities for improvement both for the work we complete and to potentially improve the customer experience with a client
  • Actively be involved with sharing new learnings, concepts and processes in the team to continually better our outputs

About you:

A suitable applicant would have a keen interest and / or existing knowledge, gained either personally or professionally, in the following topics:

  • Web-based coding languages specifically JavaScript and use of HTML mark-up
  • An understanding of common web technologies and CRM systems
  • Structured querying of large datasets within a database
  • An analytical and troubleshooting mindset that has the ability to quickly learn new platform interfaces
  • Familiarity or interest with analytics, tag management and visualisation platforms
  • A conceptual understanding of various digital marketing channels, particularly PPC, paid social, and SEO

What we’ll offer you:

  • Not only will you work with an industry-leading Data & Analytics team, but you’ll work closely alongside our other digital marketing teams (including SEO and paid media teams) – and have full visibility of other channel work and access to continuous training and support from other team members.
  • You’ll be joining our agency at the cusp of an exciting phase of growth, and you can be a part of it. You won’t be a small fish in a big pond, we bring on individuals who want to have an influence and impact on our agency and become an integral part of our success.
  • You’ll join a friendly and down-to-earth diverse and inclusive team.

Benefits & Perks:

  • You’ll work a 4.5 day working week with flexible hours and a hybrid approach to location, with just one day required in the office each week. Our office shuts every Thursday morning until 1 pm to ensure a healthy work / life balance for our team.
  • We increase your annual leave with length of service, up to 25 days of annual leave, with an office shutdown over Christmas, so you never have to use your holiday days, as well as your birthday off for free.
  • We offer enhanced maternity and paternity packages, and we’re always happy to discuss part time working to make space for both work and family life.
  • We have a dedicated training & development budget, open to anyone on our team, and monthly knowledge shares for regular cross team learning.
  • Employee reward and recognition is hugely important to us; we have a monthly employee recognition programme and alongside this, all managers have monthly budgets to spend on appreciating their teams and rewarding excellent work.
  • We have a collaborative office space in the heart of Leeds which is dog-friendly and just a 10-minute walk from the train station.
  • Further benefits include a bonus scheme, a client referral scheme, employee referral scheme, Cycle to Work scheme, work anniversary meals on us, endless free ice-creams and Friday beers in the office, monthly optional socials which you pick, monthly prizes and much more!
